Pondering Matthew 25:35 today. “For I was an hungered, and ye gave me meat: I was thirsty, and ye gave me drink: I was a stranger, and ye took me in:” Today I ponder it not in the context of physical nourishment, but in the context of spiritual and emotional nourishment. I'm thinking about all the times when people in my life, and even complete strangers have filled an empty part of me with their kindness and compassion. The ability to be able to sit with someone in their sadness or their anger is a real gift. Today I am grateful for all those people in my life who have been able to be there to nourish me when I was "hungered" and for my ability to be able to do the same for others. May we look for opportunities to be God's hands in the lives of those around us by nourishing not only their physical being, but their spirits as well. #lighttheworld
